Her light hearted approach makes you feel comfortable during your Pilates appointment.   When you leave your Pilates session, a feeling of being more grounded, or happier, or even more confident, as well as feeling even a bit stronger may ultimately be the result of your work out session!

Joan loves observing the transformations that occur in clients bodies even after just one session!

Biography

Joan knows pain is real, and emphasizes that movement does heal!

"At age 11, I contracted Rheumatic Fever which led to years of monitoring by Heart Specialists from childhood through adulthood.

As an adult, this developed into congestive heart failure with an eventual valve replacement along with left atrium reconstruction to diminish A-Fib.

My determination to never look back to keep active and enjoy a full life with my family and friends has sparked a passion in helping others achieve their fitness goals, no matter what issues one may be dealing with".

Joan’s passion for teaching Pilates began in 1996.  Life before Pilates was employment in the Corporate world, as well, teaching Part Time Fitness classes to like-minded people.

After experimenting & experiencing Pilates in her own body,  Joan realized there was no other way for her stay strong & flexible after being injured.

Joan fell in love with Joseph Pilates’ original exercise regime trademarked “The Method”, and hence, Pilates became a lifestyle. A lifestyle that includes playing road, living room and basement hockey games with her 4 grandsons on weekends!

"My miracle of life gives me a second chance to work with and inspire others young and maturing".
